Episode 25 - Ian Tucker part 2
What does balance actually look like in your life?
In this conversation, Ian Tucker shares a simple but powerful exercise based around the Holistic Model of Wellbeing**, looking at four key areas:
Spiritual • Mental • Emotional • Physical**
The exercise is something you can do alone. For each area, ask yourself: What is it within this part of my life that takes care of me?
For you, that might look like:
• Spiritual– spending a few minutes each day in silence or reflection.
• Emotional– connecting with someone you trust and can speak openly with.
• Mental – reading something away from social media that has a positive effect on your mind.
• Physical – exercising, moving your body or simply taking a slow walk in nature.
The answer will be different for everyone.
Ian, Nick, Pat and Ronnie also have a deeper conversation around spirituality, connection and what it means to find balance in everyday life.
Ian shares how he has recently found another piece of his own physical balance through playing Pickleball. It’s not only the exercise that matters — it’s knowing that every few days he has something in the diary that gets him moving and brings him together with a group of people.
Take a moment to think about your own four areas.
What takes care of you? And what brings you balance?
